McBath Highlights Kyle Schufreider, Veterans Affairs Constituent Services Success Story

Constituent Testimonial First of Three Videos Highlighting McBath’s District-Based Constituent Services Program

February 1, 2022

Sandy Springs, GA — Today, Congresswoman Lucy McBath released a video highlighting her Constituent Services Program based out of her Sandy Springs district office. This video, the first of three in a pending series, documents the experience of Kyle Schufreider, a Coast Guard veteran and resident of Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. Kyle worked with McBath’s office over the last two years to resolve outstanding medical billing issues with the Department of Veterans Affairs following a severe automobile accident suffered on Veterans Day 2020. In total, McBath’s office was able to work with Kyle and the Department of Veterans Affairs to resolve over $400,000 in medical debt. Kyle’s story can be viewed here or below.

“Serving veterans like Kyle is one of the most important elements of my job,” said McBath. “My office is here to assist when constituents face challenges with an issue involving a federal agency. I have a dedicated team of caseworkers who are prepared to serve as the liaison between the federal agency and the constituent in need of assistance. I was so thrilled that we were able to assist Kyle in his time of need, and I look forward to the opportunity we have to serve all Sixth District residents who may need our help.”

Any Sixth District resident in need of federal casework assistance is encouraged to contact McBath’s Sandy Springs district office by calling (470) 773-6330 or by visiting mcbath.house.gov/help-with-a-federal-agency
