Interns with the offices of Rep. Lucy McBath will get a firsthand look at how the U.S. House of Representatives works. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available during the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer in the Washington, D.C. and Sandy Springs, Georgia offices.

Washington, D.C.

Interested in learning about the legislative process and how a congressional office functions? Interns in the Washington, DC office will research legislation, attend hearings and briefings, provide tours of the U.S. Capitol, and answer constituent letters and calls about the diverse issues before the House.

Interns will be given a stipend for the session. The internship program runs throughout the year for undergraduate, graduate students, or recent graduates. Office hours are generally 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Applications for Spring 2020 are now being considered on a rolling basis with preference given to those who apply by December 6, 2019.

Sandy Springs, Georgia

Interested in learning about how an in-district congressional office works? Interns in the Sandy Springs office will assist the outreach staff, provide support to the casework team, and aid with community outreach events.

The internship program runs throughout year for high school seniors or college students. The hours are flexible and can accommodate students' course schedules.
