About Lucy McBath
Representative Lucy McBath is a mom, a wife, and an advocate. On Black Friday in 2012, her son Jordan Davis was killed in an act of hateful gun violence. Since coming to Congress in 2019, McBath has sought bipartisan solutions to keep Georgia’s families safe, healthy, and successful.
Representative McBath’s office was named the Best for Constituent Service and the Best for Bipartisan Collaboration, making her the first member from Georgia to receive such an award. She has earned a reputation as one of the most effective lawmakers in Congress and one of the most important voices in the House Democratic Caucus.
She has led 12 bills into law, signed by Presidents of both parties. Her legislation to support veterans was deemed the “biggest bill” passed by a first-term member. Under her leadership, the first comprehensive gun safety legislation in over three decades became law. She proudly represents Metro Atlanta in Congress, but the most important title she will ever hold is “Jordan’s Mom.”
