Sandy Springs, GA – Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) joined the March For Our Lives organization last night for an online video conference during the launch of the #OurPower digital advocacy hub. More than 400 student organizers across the country attended the event to raise awareness of the gun violence prevention movement and hear from guest speakers Rep. McBath, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and David Hogg.

“The courage and leadership March for Our Lives has shown is a testament to the power our young people have in this country, to make our country stronger while protecting our friends, families, and loved ones,” said McBath. “The work survivors and advocates across the country have done to keep families safe matters. Together, we will continue this fight to enact change and save lives.”

First founded in 2018 by students and survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida after 17 students were killed and 17 others were injured in a mass shooting, March for Our Lives strives to harness the power of young people across the country to fight for sensible gun violence prevention policies that save lives. The Our Power campaign prioritizes digital advocacy to continue the movement for a safer, more peaceful America.
