Duluth, GA — Today, Rep. Lucy McBath announced the winners of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge for Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District. The Congressional App Challenge invites middle and high school students to design and execute original apps, inspiring young students to explore an education and career in STEM. 

“The Congressional App Challenge underscores the importance of a robust STEM education in our school system, because the problems of tomorrow will be solved by today’s young people,” said McBath. “Each competitor in this year’s App Challenge submitted an idea that was designed to improve the lives of those who may utilize their apps and create solutions to a variety of significant challenges we face in our daily lives. I am grateful for each contribution to this challenge, and I want to offer a heartfelt congratulations to our top three winners!”

Winning third place in the competition was an app called “EyeGuard.” This app was created by Johns Creek High School student Jaiveer Bagga.

In second place was an app called “Smoke Aware.” This app was created by Johns Creek High School student Alexander Xu.

The winning app was called “BioDock AI.” This app was created by Johns Creek High School student Ishaan Kejriwal.

The 2024 competition was comprised of students from Johns Creek High School and Northview High School. “BioDock AI” will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol.
