Marietta, GA — This evening, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) hosted a COVID-19 Vaccine Town Hall for residents of Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District, with more than three thousand attending the live, interactive event. This was the 17th Town Hall event McBath has held since taking office. Local medical and public health experts who have been on the forefront of vaccine development and distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic made presentations and answered questions during the event, including Dr. Sandra Ford, District Health Director for DeKalb County; Dr. Colleen Kelley, Physician at Emory University School of Medicine and the Special Immunology Service at Grady Memorial Hospital; and Dr. Rob Schreiner, President of Wellstar Medical Group.

“I am grateful for this evening’s opportunity to discuss the COVID-19 vaccines and answer questions from our community,” McBath said. “In the last few months, we have watched the rapid progress that was made to develop and approve the COVID-19 vaccines, bringing us one step closer to defeating this pandemic. While we continue our fight against this pandemic, American families, workers, and small businesses continue to face challenges, and we must continue to work together to secure the relief that our friends, neighbors, and loved ones need.”
