McBath Announces Georgia Added Over 15,000 Manufacturing Jobs

Under President Biden, U.S. Added 375,000 Manufacturing Jobs in 2021

February 15, 2022

Sandy Springs, GA — Today, Congresswoman Lucy McBath announced that the state of Georgia has gained 15,100 manufacturing jobs, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The news comes as funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure deal continues to create new, good-paying jobs across the country. Rep. McBath helped small businesses, employers, and manufacturers create and restore jobs by passing the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Most recently, McBath voted to pass the America COMPETES Act, which will strengthen our supply chains and invest in the production of critical domestic products here in the U.S., creating more jobs for Georgians.

“People are wondering when things are going to get back to normal in this country, and these jobs are helping get Georgia back to work and America back on track,” said McBath. “However, our work to strengthen the economy is far from over. The Bipartisan Infrastructure law and the America COMPETES Act will build on the momentum of the American Rescue plan by creating millions more good-paying jobs, rebuilding America’s infrastructure, and investing in critical U.S. manufacturing.”

Under President Biden, the U.S. has created 375,000 manufacturing jobs and a total of 6.6 million jobs nationwide, adding manufacturing jobs across the country and in key supply-chain industries. Click here to read the Joint Economic Committee’s full manufacturing report.
