Washington, DC — This evening, Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA-06) hosted an interactive Telephone Town Hall with guest Rob Shriver, former Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and current Managing Director of Democracy Forward’s Civil Service Strong Initiative. The two provided updates on McBath’s work in Congress and the Trump Administration’s attacks on federal workers in Georgia amid uncertainty over the American economy. Approximately 14,000 participants joined the event, with many asking questions on efforts being made to oppose reckless federal workforce layoffs.

“My goal is to speak directly with as many constituents as possible in these uncertain times. I was grateful to speak with the thousands who tuned in and express my thanks to Rob Shriver for shedding more light on work being done to challenge the Trump Administration’s attacks on Georgia’s federal workers,” said McBath. “Thank you to all who tuned in to stay informed on what we can do together in this challenging period for countless families.”
