Sandy Springs, GA — In observation of Valentine’s Day, Rep. Lucy McBath’s office delivered over 1,300 valentines to veterans who receive care at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Since January, Rep. McBath has worked with local schools, community organizations, and constituents to collect cards and messages of support for veterans to be distributed.

“As we celebrate today’s holiday, I want to make sure our veterans know how much they are loved,” McBath said. “Veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and I was pleased to work with so many people from across our community yet again to show our love and appreciation for the men and women who have served our nation.”

Participating schools and organizations included Dolvin Elementary, Sweet Apple Elementary, Kiddie Academy, Rocky Mount Elementary, Legacy Christian Academy, Northview High School, Boy Scout Troop 2319, Girl Scout Troop 13468, Girl Scout Brownie Troop 13715, American Heritage Girls Troop GA1412, UPS, and the Marietta Women’s Club. In addition to these schools and organizations, constituents from across Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District sent in cards of their own.
