Washington, DC — This morning, the leadership of the Bipartisan Women’s Caucus led by Co-Chairs Madeleine Dean (D-PA) and Jenniffer González-Colón (R-PR) and Vice Chairs Lucy McBath (D-GA) and Kat Cammack (R-FL) released a statement honoring Women’s History Month.
“As we commemorate Women’s History Month, we are incredibly proud of the record number of women serving in the 117th Congress. In a caucus that looks more and more like the America we represent, we join our colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find policy solutions that make life better for American families. We have the privilege of working alongside a diverse and inspiring group of members each and every day to protect and lift up women and girls across the nation.
“This month, we celebrate the powerful impact women and girls have on our communities. We want to encourage young women everywhere to tell their stories boldly and take pride in the power that women truly hold. You have an impact to make on this world, and you are meant to shine. No matter who you are or where you are from, the work we do for others truly matters and has never been more important, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“From the first female Vice President, to an historic amount of women running for office at all levels of government, it is vital that we have women in leadership roles across the country. As leadership of the Bipartisan Women’s Caucus, we will continue to work together on issues that will make positive change for the American people, and together, we can inspire the next generation of leaders who will enact the policies that shape our future.”
