Sandy Springs, GA – Today, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) issued the following statement on the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s heavily redacted report:

“Regardless of President Trump’s involvement, the unredacted portions of Mueller’s report make it clear – Russia carried out a coordinated campaign to influence the 2016 presidential election and undermine our democracy. I’m still reviewing the report, but I’m deeply troubled about the findings that the President and his associates put their own personal and political interests above the interests of the American people and our democratic institutions.

“This is an issue that should transcend party politics. Above all else, we are Americans. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents must stand together to restore faith in our democracy and prevent future attacks on our elections. Congress needs the entire, unredacted report and the underlying evidence, and our nation must hear directly from Special Counsel Mueller.”
