Sandy Springs, GA – Tonight, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) released the following statement on the murder of Aidan Ellison:

“Every year, I spend the week of Thanksgiving celebrating and commemorating the life of my son. And eight years after Jordan was killed for playing 'loud music,' we are still dealing with the same hatred, the same gun violence that tears families apart – families that disproportionately live in communities of color.

“My heart aches for Aidan and his family during what I know is an incredibly painful time. As a nation, we must do better, it is past time for our leaders to work together and do all they can to end gun violence and help save American lives."
