“A weather emergency can strike at anytime and anywhere,” McBath said. “I encourage families across Georgia to take the steps needed to be prepared to respond to all kinds of weather emergency. I am so grateful to Jim Cantore, The Weather Channel, and every meteorologist in our region and across the country who works around the clock to keep us safe and informed.”

As part of this year’s weather preparedness campaign, residents are encouraged to follow three simple steps. First, create an emergency plan. Second, practice that plan with family and friends. Finally, stay vigilant and pay attention to weather alerts.
