Atlanta, GA — Today, Representative Lucy McBath (GA-06) announced the winners of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District. The Congressional App Challenge invites middle and high school students to design and execute original apps, inspiring young students to explore an education and future career in STEM.
“Each year, I am impressed by the talent displayed by young people who are driven to use technology to solve pressing challenges right here in our community,” McBath said. “I commend this year’s winners, and I encourage every student who participated in this year’s competition to continue pursuing an education that will enable them to take their ideas to greater heights. Congratulations to these amazing app designers!”
Winning third place in the competition was an app called “PRISM.” This app was created by Mount Paran Christian School student Pria Johnson.
Winning second place in the competition was an app called “Timbre: Music Education through Science and Math.” This app was created by The Westminster Schools student Celeste Roselli.
Winning first place in the competition was an app called “Affordable Smart Glasses for Blind and Visually Impaired People.” This app was created by Atlanta International School student Utshaho Gupta. Utshaho’s app will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol.
