Alpharetta, GA — Today, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) toured the Alpharetta North Point Parkway COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Site. The vaccine site is operated by the Fulton County Board of Health and Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency, supported with funding from Fulton County Government. During the tour, Fulton County public health officials shared updates on vaccination progress, as well as health equity initiatives designed to mitigate health disparities within minority communities in Fulton County. It was also announced today that the North Point Parkway vaccination site administered its 50,000th vaccine since opening in January.  

“Vaccinations are such a critical part of our work to overcome this pandemic,” McBath said. “I want to commend the Fulton County Board of Health and Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency for all the hard work they are doing to get our community vaccinated, and for paying special attention to the health disparities this pandemic has exposed. As soon as you are able, I encourage all residents to make an appointment and get their vaccines.”

Since March 25, all Georgians age 16 and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. As of April 1, the state of Georgia has administered over 3,880,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
