Washington, DC — Last night, U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA-06) hosted an interactive Telephone Town Hall alongside guest speaker U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD-08), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee and a constitutional law professor. McBath provided updates on her work in Congress, including her efforts during Gun Violence Awareness Month. The two members answered questions about the budget reconciliation process, oversight of the Trump Administration, and legislation they each lead to reform the criminal justice system. Approximately 13,800 participants joined the event, which was McBath’s third of 2025.

“I’m grateful to all who tuned in this evening and to Ranking Member Raskin for speaking directly to my constituents,” said Rep. McBath. “With so many alarming actions coming out of this Administration, it’s important we continue to stay in touch and help Georgia’s families stay informed. I encourage our neighbors to continue contacting my office if they are in need federal assistance and stay up to date with developments in Washington by signing up for my newsletter.”

“Americans reject Trump’s Gangster State tactics, like disappearing our neighbors from the streets, defying the rulings of federal court judges and wrestling to the ground and handcuffing a United States Senator,” said Rep. Raskin. “I’m grateful to Congresswoman McBath for inviting me to address her constituents about how we are standing up for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in the face of this MAGA onslaught against our people.”
