Duluth, GA — Today, U.S. Representative Lucy McBath (GA-07) announced the launch of her 2023 Congressional Art Competition. The competition is open to high school students in Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District. The deadline for submissions will be 5 pm on Friday, April 24th, 2023.
“Once again, I am thrilled to invite young people in our community to share their talents and participate in my fifth annual Congressional Art Competition,” McBath said. “This exciting competition is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and I look forward to seeing the artistic talents of our high schoolers each year. I want to wish each competitor the best of luck!”
Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is hosted by the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent of students across the nation. Winning artwork from Georgia's Seventh Congressional District (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol or in Rep. McBath's Washington and Duluth offices.
All submissions must be delivered in-person or by mail to McBath's Duluth district office by no later than 5 pm on Friday, April 24th. A completed release form must accompany each submission, and all students must also complete a digital entry form below prior to or upon submission at McBath’s office. The required release form, the digital entry form, and more guidelines for the competition can be found at mcbath.house.gov/art-competition.
