Washington, DC — This weekend, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) hosted a meet and greet at her office in Sandy Springs to connect with residents of Georgia’s Sixth District.
“It was wonderful to see both new and familiar faces, and to hear directly from the people I represent every day,” McBath said. “It’s an extraordinary honor for me to represent this district, and I’m grateful that so many took time out of their weekends to visit with me. I appreciate the opportunity to hear about the issues that are important to the people of Georgia’s Sixth.”
More than 120 members of the community attended the meet and greet at McBath’s Sandy Springs office on Saturday, March 16. McBath kicked off the event by introducing herself to the crowd and discussing her work in Washington since coming to Congress – including playing an integral role in the passage of H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, H.R. 1112, the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2019, and H.R. 1, the For the People Act. Constituents had the opportunity to discuss a wide array of issues and topics with their congresswoman including gun violence prevention, the economy, climate change, and education. Attendees were also provided with information about the resources McBath’s congressional office provides for constituents.
